The Abraham Project Association, in collaboration with the Department of Social Services and Social Mediation, continues to work with families in the Villaba neighborhood, supporting the school and social development of minors and improving the training and skills of women.
After a full summer of activities and with the beginning of the new course, Project Abraham aims to reach 30 children, aged between 6 and 14 years, with school support, training in new technologies, artistic and sports workshops, exits educational and recreational activities in the neighborhood, which will form this year's program with the minors.
In order to improve the promotion of women in the neighborhood, the individual counseling and accompaniment of the different resources offered by the different councils of the City of Cartagena, organizations and associations working in the municipality continue.
There will be training workshops and cultural activities will be promoted.
The objective is to improve the ability of these women to be the driving force of the neighborhood.
The Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Martín del Amor, explained that it is "working with all the groups that operate in Villalba with the intention of improving the quality of life of all neighbors.
In this way, what we are trying to achieve is a strong social fabric that contributes to improving coexistence in the neighborhood. "
The mayor recalled that all these actions are carried out as a continuation of the Gypsy Development Plan that takes place in the neighborhood since 2014.
