The Fair of Women's Associations of Cartagena has given this Friday, October 6, the kick-off to a weekend full of activities in the stands that have been installed in Plaza Heroes of Cavite and have already opened their doors.
The inauguration was attended by the acting mayor, Juan Pedro Torralba;
the Councilor for Equality, David Martinez;
and the mayor of Industry and Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, in which the acting mayor has highlighted the work of women's associations in the municipality.
"During these three days they will be teaching us all the activities that they are doing during the year", he stressed.
Thus, workshops and works of bolillo, manualidades or cut and make as a sample of what is done in the associations of Women of the different districts and councils of Cartagena.
In addition, gastronomic tastings, theatrical performances, storytelling, talks and the reading of a manifesto have been programmed to mark the World Breastfeeding Week.
For his part, the Councilor for Equality has shown his desire to enjoy with women the associations and the municipality of these days.
"You do some precious things," said David Martinez, who has highlighted the parallel activities that have been scheduled, with which to "see what other colleagues do and learn."
Finally, Juan Pedro Torralba has wished this to be "a good weekend" and that the stands of the fair receive a large number of visits in which participants can show what they do, while showing the support of the City Council of Cartagena and the Department of Equality towards the collective.
WEEKEND PROGRAM
After the opening of this morning, in the afternoon, after 17.00, will open again the stands of the fair.
At 6:00 pm, there will be a new session of weekly breastfeeding meeting at the Lactando Madre a Madre booth and a micro-theater demonstration at the La Concepción cultural booth.
At 6.30 pm the Breastfeeding Mother to Mother stand will host the talk 'Breastfeeding and working?
You can 'and, at 19.00 and 20.00, new demonstrations of micro theater.
In addition, from 17.30 to 20.30 hours, in the stand Cartagonova will take place the workshop 'Ejercita tu mente'.
On Saturday, the fair will open at 11.00.
During the morning there will be performances of micro theater and will return, both in the morning and in the afternoon, the workshop 'Exercise your mind'.
In addition, there will be chocolatada at 19.15 hours at the stand Armonía and, at 19.30 hours, tells tales for equality.
On Sunday, the 8th, the fair will also open at 11.00.
The activities will start again at 12.00, with a new session of micro theater, tells tales for equality in the 'Festival of lactation' and the workshop 'Begin to exercise your mind'.
At 12.45 pm The Murga theater has scheduled a theatrical performance and at 13.00 there will be a new session of micro theater.
Already in the afternoon, at the end of the fair, at 18.00 hours, will take place the reading of a manifesto on the occasion of the World Breastfeeding Week;
healthy snack for children at 18.15 hours, the workshop 'Exercise your mind' and more micro theater throughout the afternoon.
In turn, throughout the day, the stand of the Department of Equality will host the realization of different interventions and workshops.
Finally, the closing of the fair will take place at 21.00 hours.
