The president of COEC, Pedro Pablo Hernández, today called on the National deputies of Citizens in the Congress to be involved so that, in the General State Budgets (PGE) for 2018, a nominative item "with first and last name" is included the arrival of the AVE to Cartagena.
In a meeting at the headquarters of the employers of Cartagena that was attended by a representation of its Executive Committee, Hernandez stressed the "unavoidable" need for the arrival of high speed to the city.
In this sense, the president of COEC recalled that having a budget allocation "is a necessary but not sufficient condition".
"We have to advance in the administrative process, know the projects and the tender," he added.
Likewise, Hernández said that Citizens has committed to work so that in the General State Budget for next year include the project of the AVE from Murcia to Cartagena, as well as being vigilant that possible amendments do not end up affecting this investment.
The meeting was attended by the national deputies of Cs in the Congress, Miguel Garaulet and Jose Luis Martinez, as well as the spokesman for the orange formation in the City of Cartagena, Manuel Padín.
