The councilors of Sports, Ricardo Segado, Sustainable Development, Maria Jose Soler and the councilman of the Government team, José López, went to the deputation of La Aljorra yesterday where they had a meeting with representatives of the Luis Guarch Sports Association to address the installation of artificial grass on the football field of La Aljorra.

With the representatives of this entity, aspects related to this project were evaluated, with a bidding budget of 328,512.48 euros.

The deadline for submitting bids is 23 October.

This action was chosen by the neighbors in the framework of the Participatory Budgets 2016, which made it possible for the Carthaginians to choose the destination of more than 1.5 million euros from the municipal budget.

The project of La Aljorra will provide artificial grass to a surface of football 11 (92 x 60 m2), being also marked in the same space two football fields 7.

In the same way, and once the works of this project are completed, another action is planned for the installation of artificial turf on the soccer field 5 that is located at the entrance of the sports complex.

INDOOR POOL

The councilors also went to the municipal pool of La Aljorra where the councils of Sports and Sustainable Development have projected the replacement of the cover of this facility.

There, they shared with a municipal technician of Infrastructures information on the works that are going to be realized.

The planned investment amounts to 145,000 euros and the works will consist of the installation of two sheets of steel with the objective of solving the current leakage problems.

The main purpose of this project, which will be put out to tender soon, consists of replacing the cover of the municipal pool of La Aljorra, whose total size is 659 square meters and presents problems due to the entry of uncontrolled water inside the enclosure .

Thus, through the works to be undertaken, a cover made of two steel sheets with intermediate glass fiber board will be installed, to be made in situ, anchored the profiles to the existing structure, after demolition of the cover current and the front windows of the central section of the same.

ANOTHER QUESTIONS

Lastly, the councilors verified several actions that are currently being carried out in La Aljorra, including the repairs being carried out by the Infrastructures department in the Swiss square.
