- "During the last two weeks, the situation has been and is chaotic as many children have had to stay ashore for some days and others have been forced to travel on foot in the bus, on the way from the stop to the institute , with all the risks that this scenario entails for the safety of the students, "warned the vocal of the formation orange in the Neighborhood Board of La Aljorra, Maria Isabel Martinez.
- The Citizens spokesman in Cartagena has reported that he has already transferred this complaint to his Parliamentary Group to challenge the Ministry of Education.
Cartagena, Tuesday, October 3.
The Municipal Group of Citizens denounces the lack of places in the school transport to go from the cartagenera deputation of La Aljorra to the Institute of Secondary Education San Isidoro de Los Dolores.
As has been pointed out by the vocalist of the orange formation in the Neighborhood Board of La Aljorra, María Isabel Martínez, "during the last two weeks, the situation has been and is chaotic since many children have had to stay on land some days and others have been forced to travel on foot in the bus, on the way from the stop to the institute, with all the risks involved in that scenario for the safety of the students. "
The spokeswoman also said that the director of the school is aware of what happens and that "the stop where the bus stops to pick up the students, is not officially established."
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has indicated that he has already transferred this complaint to the Parliamentary Group of Orange Formation in the Regional Assembly, "it is unacceptable that some students remain on land because they do not have the places they should ensure the Ministry of Education, and we are concerned that many of these kids have to stand during the journey when they should be seated and with a seat belt, Citizens want the Community to explain as soon as possible and above all to offer a solution to these children and their parents in a situation that does not seem punctual since it has been occurring for two weeks, Education must ensure this transportation, and certify that students travel in the maximum security conditions throughout the municipality of Cartagena.
The Municipal Group of Citizens wants to remember that since 2007, the Community Directive states that all buses must wear safety belts and all school children should use them.
"We believed that the Community had controlled this issue but it has been proven that this is not the case, and we wonder if it is also missing the safety regulations in other areas of the municipality and the Autonomous Community so we are going to make an informative strike through our vowels in the different Juntas Vecinales to verify it ", has announced the spokesman of Cs Cartagena.
