The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, today visited the San Ginés school in La Jara de Llano de Beal, in Cartagena, where "classes are developed with absolute normality after the actions that were carried out during the months of summer, "he said.
In total, the Community has invested 366,735 euros in the paving of the football field and 29,021 euros in replacing and repairing windows and in placing blinds and insulation of drawers, in order to achieve watertightness and insulation of buildings.
Martinez-Cachá said that "this school is a good example of the Government's compliance with the commitments made," and stressed that the center "could start the school year the same day as other schools in the municipality."
The head of Education thanked the efforts made by all the departments and administrations involved, as well as parents and teachers, "which has made it possible to guarantee the health of students and teachers and to start classes on facilities of the center ".
The counselor said that "thanks to the agreement of the two administrations (regional and local) have been able to achieve the objectives proposed in time".
Just as he said, it also happens with "the solution we have given to the school of San Isidoro and Santa Florentina, where several classrooms and bathrooms will be enabled, which will make it possible to remove the prefabricated classrooms during this first quarter of the course" .
In addition, he explained, "in parallel, the project is being drafted for the integral remodeling of La Casa del Nińo, which will provide the school with new spaces such as classrooms, dining rooms or multipurpose rooms and will end a vindication of the educational community years".
"The regional government has a firm commitment to continue improving educational infrastructures in Cartagena and throughout the Region of Murcia to enhance educational quality," said Martínez-Cachá.
