On the occasion of the XIV Cultural Week of the Club of the 3rd Age of Alumbres, the town celebrated on Monday 2 September the parade and coronation of the queen and the mises of 2017. The event served to inaugurate this cultural week to be held until the Sunday 8th of September.
La Charanga Cartagena accompanied this year's queen, Rosi Barceló Díaz, along with her missions, Antonia Villada Cabezos and Carmen Nicolás Noguera, and the queens of previous editions, as they traveled through the streets of the town.
Upon arrival at the Local Club of the Elderly, queens and mises passed by the red carpet among the applause of those present.
The acting mayor, Juan Pedro Torralba, said a few words and then proceeded to impose the bands and were given a bouquet of flowers.
The act concluded with the performance of the Duet Minerva, which softened the final dance of the gala.
