The substitution works of the lawn of the Cartagonova stadium have started on Monday, as planned, with the removal of green and advance at a good pace.
In addition, the works will include the remodeling of the benches in order to leave them to the point and that they conform to the rules of the Professional Football League (LFP) facing a possible future promotion of category to Liga 1 | 2 | 3 .
The acting mayor of Cartagena, Juan Pedro Torralba, visited the albinegro coliseum where he was able to verify, at mid-morning, that approximately half of the tapestry had already been removed.
There he received the president of the club, Francisco Belmonte, who has explained the status of the work, the following steps and also has moved how the change will take place in the technical areas of the field.
This performance in the benches would avoid having to make new works in case the FC Cartagena achieved the promotion at the end of this season or in later courses.
Specifically, the benches, now divided into two parts, separating players and coaching staff from assists, will be combined and expand the space so that they will adapt to the regulations required by the LFP leaving them with a capacity of 14 people for which they will change the seats of the same.
"I am happy to see that it has a good rhythm," said Torralba, who said that "the important thing is, apart from the fact that the installation is perfectly in condition," to arrive in time "to the commitment of two Sundays before the San Fernando and leave the field completely finished ".
In this regard, the first mayor in charge is confident that this objective will be achieved, since the company in charge of the work has assured FC Cartagena that the tasks will be completed as "maximum" for the Thursday before Sunday of the match and considers "credible what has been transmitted."
Francisco Belmonte has commented that in the entity he directs are "very happy" to have given "a giant step" in only 15 days since "everything goes according to planning."
He has also been pleasantly surprised by how fast the lawn replacement work is progressing.
Now the works will continue progressing normally in the following phases in order to finish them in term.
"The company meets all the requirements of professionalism so that we are calm," said the president of 'Efesé' in this regard.
"We are going to have a much better field for the benefit of the team and the city," said Belmonte.
