The Cartagena formation will ensure that the line of work carried out by Nicolás is not abandoned, as well as by his return to the responsibilities he maintained, if he so desires

The agenda of the Plenary of the City of Cartagena, held this morning, has reported the agreement of the Local Government Board, dated September 15, 2017, on the cease, at its own request, of the general director of Infrastructure, Manuel Nicolás.

The spokesman of the MC Municipal Group, José López, expressed in the name of the Cartagena formation that "it is not time to go into the professional and personal reasons that motivate the resignation of Mr. Manuel Nicolás Rubio as Director General of Infrastructure, are yours and put them in writing.

In my group if we consider this time and place suitable to recognize one of the most capable and prepared public employees of this City.

And not by comparison with his colleagues, but by his undeniable public service capacity and his deep and demonstrated respect for citizens and the management of the public.

This recognition is mine, of my group, but also of the whole area of ​​Infrastructures;

thanks to D. Manuel Nicolás Rubio for not giving in to discouragement, attacks and obstacles of own and strangers who have tried with little success to move away from the goal of a public administration.

Stay in the conscience of each of those who have not respected your work and that of your team have acted against the interest of the Cartagena.

But these two years of work leave much more, leave the evidence that for more than 20 years has been looked elsewhere, has been left to the dealers and have not optimized resources.

And, of course, they open the doors to the continuity of the responsible and efficient management in matters of special sensitivity.

Soon will be fixed the extra costs in certain services, or the possible lesivity of previously untouchable contracts, and that work will be of Manolo and all his equipment.

Many times it is not valued who gives and works, because others look and teach more, but in this case we will not be ungrateful, we are not, so again thank you.

And all that we say as MC we do not consider it a farewell, rather it is a point and followed for a work that can no longer be stopped and that puts and benefits the Cartagena.

Fortunately you continue in this administration, in the area of ​​Sustainable Development, others are passing through, but your team and you are still there, and that already assumes a tranquility where everything has been uncertainty and laziness.

If this is not clear, this group is grateful to the Director General for Infrastructure for his excellent work, and regrets his decision to voluntarily cease, and will ensure that he is wherever he is, because the lines of work, supervision and control are not abandoned under his direction .
