Return "El Último Peldaño" for the third consecutive year to Cartagena, this time to address the theme of the Dances of Death, on the Punic Wall.
The program will begin a cycle dedicated to lovers of mystery for the months of October and November at the site of Puerto de Culturas.
The broadcast of the mythical radio program, directed and presented by Joaquín Abenza, whose objective is the dissemination of themes that navigate between the unknown and enigmatic, will be Friday, October 6 at 11:00 pm from the Punic Wall Museum.
For more than two hours "El Último Peldaño" emitted in Onda Regional will take us to the Danzas Macabras, of medieval origin, where we will discover in the live broadcast from the Crypt of San José why they were painted singular images of skeletons dancing on coffins in the eighteenth century.
To unveil historical enigmas we will have expert historians and archaeologists related to the world of death and funerary art such as Pilar Vallalta, archaeologist and restorer who carried out the restoration works of the crypt and Jaime Vizcaíno, doctor in Archeology and professor of the University of Murcia expert in funeral wares.
We will unveil the mysteries of the Dances of Death in Cartagena, its symbolism and macabre art in the first part of the program, where we will also have the presence of Agustina Martínez, manager of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, as well as the person responsible for activities and dissemination of Puerto de Culturas, Encarna Zamora, collaborator of the program.
In the second part of the program we will have two exceptional guests, Pedro Ortega, director of the magazine Mistérica Ars Secreta and Carlos Bogdanich, who achieved the famous psychophonies in historical places marking an era in the world of the paranormal.
The last guest of the night is José Antonio Ortas director of the company Teatral Ditirambo that will take us to those times where the Franciscan order was established in the Hermitage of San José and will surprise us with stories of the crypt unpublished and fascinating.
