At the meeting held on Monday, September 25, the Commission for the Evaluation of Grants has approved 66 of the 71 applications submitted by the neighborhood associations of the municipality of Cartagena, with a total amount of 188,500 euros.
The Commission was chaired by the mayor in charge and responsible for the Citizen Participation and Good Governance Area, Juan Pedro Torralba, and the Council has attended the Area of ​​Finance and Interior, Francisco Aznar, and the Councilor for Sustainable Development Area , Mª José Soler.
Juan Pedro Torralba has emphasized the firm commitment that is being made from the Area that he directs by fomenting the implication neighborhood and the asociacionismo in the municipality.
The mayor also expressed the importance of these subsidies for the maintenance of social premises that are spread throughout all our neighborhoods and councils.
The adjudication of the 188,500 euros has been made by competitive concurrence following the criteria established in the terms of the call.
Also according to these same criteria, five applications have been excluded because they do not fulfill any of the required requirements.
The distribution among the admitted applications has been proportional in similar or similar conditions, according to the assessment obtained that has resulted from the application of the nine criteria that appear in the call.
From this moment a period of 10 days of allegations is opened, in which the associations can appeal the decision.
