PP, PSOE and C's do not abide by the opinion of Intervention and dilate the obligation to return the amounts not justified

Today, a meeting of the Treasury and Interior Commission of the City of Cartagena took place in the administrative building of San Miguel.

During the meeting, questions have been raised regarding the allocations received by the municipal groups during the past and current legislature.

Specifically, the municipal groups of the PP, PSOE and C's have required a new report to the municipal legal counsel not to abide by the report issued by General Intervention that ruled the return of unjustified amounts.

Therefore, these three formations have voted in favor of the withdrawal of this point.

The mayor of the municipal group MC, Isabel Garcia, has lamented that "we have witnessed a new attempt to slow the necessary work of oversight of justifications to the allocations of municipal groups."

García also added that "in MC we reject the decision of an improvised coalition that deaf ears to the technical opinion that determines the return by improper destination of the money received by the groups."

It should be recalled that last May 2016, at the initiative of MC, it was agreed that the Municipal Plenum should control and supervise the aid to municipal groups in the current and previous legislature, that is, from May 2011 onwards.

MC regrets that the aforementioned municipal groups voted in favor of the Cartagenerista training initiative to supervise the use of the assignments received and now, when they face the return of the unjustified amounts, they agree to act contrary to what was agreed in the full.

This training will continue to work from its responsibility so that the rest of groups reintegrate the money corresponding to the municipal coffers, always defending the good use of the public money, once it has been known that one of these groups could have used their allocations for payments related to the headquarters of their parties in Cartagena.
