The painter Ascensión Pérez presents in Cartagena her exhibition "Azul", color protagonist of the 27 oils that show the waters of our coast with a light, clarity and simplicity that is the fruit of the artist's continued work and a sample of her consolidated style.
The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, will attend the inauguration of the exhibition on Thursday, September 28th at 7:30 pm in the Museum of the Byzantine Wall, in Calle del Doctor Martínez Tapia.
In these canvases, Ascensión Pérez portrays the delicacy of the sand, the transparency of the waves on the shore, the limpid waters of the background and the breadth of the sky and its clouds over a calm sea, and does so from an optics authentic and contemporary, with a naturalism faithful to the essence of the landscape and an innovation in formats that is a constant in his pictorial work and his work.
The works of this painter from Cartagena have been exhibited on the walls of the Royal Cartuja de Valdemossa (Mallorca) and the Cajamurcia Foundation in Madrid, among other destinations;
and has made the international leap in art fairs held in San Sebastian, Hamburg, Austria, Milan and Carrousel of the Louvre in Paris.
A broad and consolidated trajectory marked by the care and balance in the composition, and by a cleanliness and luminosity that are already a distinctive of his signature.
With Azul, Ascensión Pérez takes the most recent of his work to the Port City, linked like her to the sea, and sets a milestone more in a seated trajectory where never misses new projects.
