The Executive Committee of COEC (Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena) agrees to hold meetings with the national deputies of the Region of Murcia to address the issue of the arrival of the AVE to Cartagena.
After their last meeting, the businessmen of the Region have expressed their concern at the few initiatives that are being carried out to streamline the process that will bring the high-speed train to the port city.
"We want to know what each of the deputies of the different political parties are doing in this regard," said Pedro Pablo Hernández, president of COEC.
Likewise, COEC has requested a meeting with the Minister of Development, Iñigo de la Serna, since the businessmen "consider it imperative that the Ministry compromise deadlines, budget and progress in the administrative procedure, are tired of promises and demand facts," he explained Hernández.
In addition, the president of COEC has assured that the productive sectors will be much more competitive with the arrival of the AVE to the Shire, for this reason "its arrival is inalienable".
Meetings with the different deputies are scheduled for the next few days.
The purpose of these interviews is that in the coming year the administrative steps will be completed and the works in Cartagena begin.
