The celebrations of Carthaginians and Romans celebrated yesterday their day dedicated to the children.
A day focused on giving prominence to the smallest and offer games and fun at Camp Festero to show the skills of future warriors of the holidays.
The afternoon began with the Children's Parade in which the quarry of troops and legions wore costumes and weapons marching from the Plaza de España to Camp Festero.
Upon arrival, the tests of Aspar and Ludi Romano awaited them, whereby the Carthaginian and Roman streets of the festive camp receded in time and became a field of competitions, games and attractions for the children of Cartagena.
The festivities of the Troops and Legions organized for children a series of competitions to test the skills of the youngest, based on what Prince Aspar, the son of General Hannibal and Princess Himilce, was supposed to have done before becoming a authentic Carthaginian warrior.
This act also commemorates the Pledge of Enmity to Rome that made Hannibal to his father, Amílcar Barca, before the Punic god Melkart, at the age of nine years, before leaving for the Iberian peninsula.
CENTRIFIED COMICS AND FERIAE LATINO
Already at night the Roman generals gathered in the Centuried Commissions to plan the ideal military strategy that will lead them to defeat the Carthaginian troops of Aníbal Barca.
The night ended with the Latin Fair in the Roman street of the camp, where the festivities of all Roman Legions filled the visitors with attention and invited them to taste the gastronomic delights and the Roman drinks.
A way to enjoy the return to the streets of the ancient Roman Carthago Nova.
The Latin Feriae was an annual feast in honor of the three-day god Jupiter in which the alliance with the members of the Latin League was reaffirmed with communal meals in which Rome bestowed the various allied peoples.
