The Lighthouse of Cabo de Palos must be public and it has to be visitable for the citizens both its environment and the interior to make known its singularities so has manifested the deputy of the parliamentary group Popular, Miguel Cascales who has stated this premise in the amendment to the motion to be discussed by the Regional Assembly tomorrow.
A lawsuit that has moved along with the spokesman of the GPP, Victor Martinez, the president of the Port Authority of Cartagena, Antonio Sevilla with whom they held a meeting this morning.
Miguel Cascales has put on the table that proposes the declaration of Well of Tourist Interest, with category of monument, as an instrument of protection of this singular and appreciated element of the coast of our Region.
We also hope to promote the tourist and scientific use of the Lighthouse of Cabo de Palos by creating an interpretation center that allows us to know better the building and the history of this fishing corner of the Region of Murcia, said the popular deputy who has opened the door to the creation of a National Center of Interpretation of the Marine Reserves of Spain in this place.
