The fall season at the Teatro Circo Apolo in El Algar, which starts on October 6, will feature more than a dozen productions that constitute a varied program with a large presence of local groups.
This was announced by the Councilor for Culture of Cartagena, David Martínez, who presented this Thursday, September 14, the theater program in the new season accompanied by its president, Mercedes Garcia, and the program director, Cristina Roca.
Thus, of the works to be performed during the months of October, November and December, there will be four works aimed at children and four adults, in addition to two productions that fall within the educational cycles.
In turn, four non-profit collective events have been scheduled.
In this sense, Cristina Roca has ensured that a priority in the theater is to have local groups as "they have to have a space where they can show their works", so the Teatro Circo Apolo "serves as a showcase".
Thus, there will be during this season local and regional premieres, but also productions from other parts of Spain.
The season will begin on Friday, October 6 with a production of the Circo Apolo Theater Company, directed by Mercedes Garcia.
It is the satirical comedy 'Cyanide ... alone or with milk?'.
The work will be re-performed on Saturday 7, with tickets, starting both days at 9.30 pm and at the price of 12 euros.
The program continues on Tuesday, October 11, with the performance of 'El contador del amor', which will feature Ana Obregón, Elías González and César Lucendo as protagonsitas.
The work, which received the Molière Prize 2010, will begin at 9.30 pm, with tickets at 16 and 20 euros.
The productions 'Amigas Desgraciadas' will continue, which opens the group Aladroque Teatro on October 21;
Panic, of the Finnish Mika Millyaho under the direction of Quino Falero the 4 of November;
the musical The Beauty and the Beast, on November 18;
Little Red Riding Hood, on November 26;
and already in December, the first musical inspired by corruption, Iberian Gangters, on Friday 1;
The Pirates of the Paper Boat, on Saturday 16 and the musical Masha and the Bear, on Saturday 23.
The activities of the educational centers 'La Teatropedia', which will allow students of Secondary and Bachillerato to know all the secrets and dismantle myths about the theater, on Thursday, November 9, and the musical 'Emociones', focusing on the most which will take place on Wednesday, December 13, as well as the Apollo Rock galas, on October 28;
the gala of varieties to benefit the fight against cancer of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, on November 17;
the work 'Pisito de un singles' put on the stage by the Tanit theater group organized by the association TP Cartagena;
and the gala of the 50th Anniversary of the Neighborhood Association of El Algar.
The programming is characterized by its popular prices, to facilitate access to the culture of all citizens, with prices that do not exceed 12 euros per ticket, except for a single work.

Finally, Mercedes Garcia has expressed his gratitude to the City of Cartagena and the Department of Culture for its commitment to the theater, which materialized last year in the signing of an agreement that will be operational until 2018 and which involves the investment of the Consistory of 100,000 euros in the theater.
Through this agreement, it has been possible to make improvements in the facilities and provide "very important technical means, scenic dress and mechanization of bars", according to García, while seeking to value the environment of the Teatro Circo Apolo and bring the culture to the citizens.
