It has been asked to allow the use of 'Bono 20' to UPCT students on the Altaria train, leaving at 18:20 hours
The Autonomous Community has today requested the Ministry of Public Works various improvements in the services of Cercanías de Cartagena with the aim of increasing the frequency of trains between the port city and Murcia, and thus facilitate mobility between both cities.
José Ramón Diez de Revenga, director general of Transport, Coast and Ports, asked for the meeting with the Director General of Land Transport of the Ministry of Development, Joaquín del Moral, who stressed that "the demands of the Executive regional level have been welcomed "and hopes that they will materialize as soon as possible.
Díez de Revenga has also moved the need to improve railway services for users of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), as demanded by the students and staff of this university center.
"We asked to allow the use of 'Bono 20' to the students of the UPCT on the Altaria train, leaving at 18:20 hours, which runs the Cartagena-Murcia route," explained the director who recalled that this request was one of the topics discussed in a recent meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of that University.
In addition, the transport minister said that the Ministry and the Ministry are also studying collaboration formulas in order to encourage among university students and other groups the use of public rail transport in the Region of Murcia.
