The Cultural Association "Now Theater" of La Palma, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, convenes the XX edition of the "Contest of Comedies" this year, to be held in February 2018.
The competition will be able to present the theater groups, companies and associations of national and international scope that so desire.
To register you must send the form that is attached to the bases, along with a DVD of the work, the history of the company, the description of the set, the script of the work and a program of hand.
Works can be submitted until December 15.
The selected montages will be presented before public and jury from February 16 to 18, 2018, days of the event.
The awards ceremony will take place the following Saturday, February 24th.
It will award a prize to the best actor and actress, best actor and actress of distribution and best direction, which will consist of a reproduction of one of the works of the painter.
An economic aid is also established to cover expenses of diet and displacement of the groups selected for the final of 1,200 € if it has its registered office to more than 500 kilometers and of 900 € if it is located to less than 500 kilometers.
A total of 48 theater companies from all over Spain were presented last year.
For the final they were classified the companies 'Zorongo Theater', of Valencia;
'Ditirambo, from Cartagena;
and Orozú Theater ', Cadiz.
