The exhibition 'Heryca: Sirus' travels opened last Friday September 8 its doors to the public in the Tomás Rico hall of the Palace Hall.
The opening ceremony was held in front of the stairs of the same Palace and was attended by numerous public and local authorities.
Members of the Federation of Troops and Legions, period dresses, were in charge of starting the event with a representation of a theatrical combat.
Then the participating artists were introduced to the audience before taking a family photo on the outer staircase of the Palace Hall wielding historical weapons.
The event ended with a few words from the Councilor for Quality of Life, Francisco José Calderón, the Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, the president of the collective Art Nostrum, Antonio Vidal, and the curator of the exhibition, Javier Lorente, before entering to see the exhibition.
The exhibition includes works by Álvaro Peña, Marcos Amorós, Belén Orta, Sáenz de Elorrieta, Piedad M. Torres, Salvador Torres, Antonio Vidal Máiquez, Esteban Bernal, Jorge García Aznar, Kraser, Luis Marino, Olga R. Pomares, Pérez Casanova, Rosana Sitcha, Torregar and Javier Lorente.
The exhibition hosts 147 works in which the 15 participating artists offer their particular vision of these festivities and the time in which they are acclimated through disciplines such as painting, sculpture, photography or engraving and styles such as realism, expressionism, pop art or street art.
