The training related to PODEMOS requires that the ordinance approved in plenary be elaborated and applied immediately and with full rigor, to sanction each and every one of the crimes committed.
In response to the new allegations presented in La Verdad, CTSSP has shown its absolute amazement at the proliferation of illegal landfills throughout the municipality, a situation that has been denounced insistently by this group, environmental groups and neighborhood associations.
The impunity with which these environmental crimes are committed daily has motivated, on the part of this training, the elaboration of a proposal approved in plenary by unanimity so that a specific ordinance of Construction and Demolition Waste (RCD) is elaborated, since the previous ordinance was extremely vague and outdated.
Beyond the urgent updating of the normative framework, from the municipal group of PODEMOS have demanded speed and diligence to the municipal administration to watch and sanction all the infractions that are committed daily, since the new Government has been acting with the same placidity and slowness of previous years, a negligence that rubs the complicity and that of persisting would end up destroying the (and few) natural spaces that exist in the municipality, with irremediable environmental, economic and public health consequences.
Pilar Marcos, spokesperson for CTSSP, said: "We are finalizing various initiatives to present to the Office of the Prosecutor.
This is unacceptable.
Our mountains and rural environments are being destroyed and the administrations do not move a finger, nor to sanction those responsible or to prevent future episodes.
If we continue like this, instead of trees and mountains, the next generations of Carthaginians will bequeath mountains of debris, plastic and asbestos remains. "
