Cartagena hosted the last days of August the International Badminton Campus organized by the Badminton Federation of the Region of Murcia, which had the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena, and led by Pablo Caparrós.
Four days of badminton, sports and cultural activities practically without rest.
The chosen place was the Youth Hostel of Canteras, an ideal space for multi-sport activities that together with the proximity to the Pavilion of Quarries made possible the realization of this Badminton Campus.
This is the second time that a stay of this type is made in the city, the first took place during Christmas in the month of January of this same year and after the success of affluence has been bet to repeat the place although in the season In addition, it has been possible to take an even greater step with the arrival of children from Russia, who have made the campus a veritable blend of cultures.
The Campus had the participation of 29 players from different points of the Region highlighting the great participation of players of the Badminton Club Cartagena, as well as those already mentioned from Kaliningrad, was also counted on the Campus with an international badminton coach, Andrey Degtyarev , runner-up in Europe in doubles senior as a player and that arrived at the Campus after spending a few days in Poland working in the Campus of Badminton organized by the runner-up of the world Anthony Clark.
In addition to the training sessions, players were able to enjoy the whole environment that Cartagena offers us, with the activities carried out in Tentegorra as well as in La Manga del Mar Menor with the aquatic activities of Maleni Jet, all the players marveled at the kayak, aquatic bananas, scooters, climbing and balancing in the adventure park, as well as enjoying all the activities carried out by the monitors and badminton beach on the Mar Menor.
