Santa Florentina Market will soon have a complete system with which the security of the premises will improve substantially.
Specifically, the hiring table that has been held this morning has approved the installation of nine surveillance cameras, eight inside and one at the loading and unloading exit, which will be connected to the Central Security Alarm Center.
The project went to contracting for an amount of 19,311.60 euros and finally was awarded for 14,922.28, which is a drop of just over 20%, and will be finished before the next holiday.
In addition, the market had an old alarm system that, until now, was out of service and that thanks to this project will have new wiring and expand the number of sensors, so that covers the entire perimeter of the plaza .
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, fulfills the commitment made with the sellers of the Santa Florentina Market at the beginning of this legislature.
"All our actions since we took over the government of Cartagena have been focused on betting clearly on traditional trade.
We are improving the facilities and offering very useful tools so that the sellers have easier to publicize their products and the high quality of them, "explained Ana Belén Castejón.
In order to carry out this project it was necessary that previously the fiber optic will arrive to the environs of the market, what already has been obtained.
This will not only serve to connect surveillance cameras and alarms, but will also allow marketers to expose their products, offers and promotions in digital media.
UNDERGROUND PARKING
The next challenge that has been marked by Mayor Ana Belén Castejón is to find a solution for underground parking.
"This is a more complex project and requires more time.
