A holiday between two seas for all the neighbors of Cartagena and San Javier.
This is what is wanted with the Festivities of La Manga 2017 to be held between 6 and 10 September and presented this morning the councilman of festivities of the City of Cartagena, Juan Pedro Torralba, the councilman of festivities of the City of San Javier, Pedro López, and the manager of La Manga Consorcio, José Miguel Franco.
The Bohemia Square will be the place where the Festival Venue will be installed, although the events will begin on Wednesday at 10:30 am with inflatables for the youngest in the Sports Center of La Manga.
"We are still going on holidays at school, so we have prepared a wide offer for the younger ones, which will also help the older ones participate," explained Torralba.
An activity that will also be held on Thursday and Friday afternoon from 18:00 hours and Saturday morning.
The official opening of the Exhibition Center will be at 19:00 hours, at which time you will be able to taste the gastronomy of the world that will offer the 20 booths and 2 foodtrucks that will be installed in the enclosure and that will offer to the price of 2 € drink and elaborated tapas from Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Spain or Colombia among others.
"Explosion of senses", as it has been called this gastronomic initiative, will open on Thursday and Friday from 12:00 hours.
After the official opening of the festivities with the proclamation at 9:30 pm, attendees will be able to enjoy the performance of Michel Havana, 'The man of 1000 voices', and after the music of DJ José Galindo until 4: 00 of the dawn, that will puncture every night in the enclosure.
It is also worth mentioning the great variety of sports activities that will be developed both on the coast of Mar Menor and on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
On Thursday will begin at 9:00 am the Beach Volleyball Championship, to be held on the Isla del Ciervo beach;
there will be a Taekwondo exhibition in Bohemia on the same day at 7:00 p.m.;
the Paddle Championship at the Sports Center of La Manga on Saturday from 9:00 am;
the activity 'Discover La Manga in skates', which will run from Las Sirenas to Bohemia Square on Saturday from 18:00 hours;
or the zumba display on Sunday from 1:30 p.m.
The music will be the protagonist of the nights: on Thursday 'Chocolate Son' will set the Cuban rhythm, on Friday the female group 'The Clams' arrives in La Manga after having toured all of Spain with their sounds of Rithm & Blues and Saturday will be the turn of the group of Jazz, Swing and Rock & Roll 'Enma Fernández Band'.
It is also worth mentioning the 'Environmental Yincana Mi Mar Menor', an activity that will allow the participants through different tests to know better the flora and fauna of this privileged natural enclave.

The Councilman of Festivities of Cartagena has indicated the importance of "working for a Manga united" despite being between two administrations, and that is why they have wanted to distribute the activities from one end to another of La Manga.
In addition it has opened the door to that next year is created "a commission of celebrations so that organizes the activities that are realized in this zone, not only in summer but also in Christmas or in Carnival".
For his part López has been congratulated for the great work that has been done from La Manga Consortium to organize these holidays, which this year are expanded in time and activities to enjoy a "paradise between two seas."
