CTSSP visits the site of Los Chaparros and regrets that the town has become the wastebasket and manure of La Manga and Cabo de Palos, with the aggravation of numerous irregularities that affect the neighbors, and are related to the treatment plant (WWTP) and the desalination plant of Arco Sur.
The municipal group of CTSSP has announced that it will present a motion in the next Town Hall Plenary due to the numerous shortcomings and complaints detected in its visit to Los Chaparros, which was attended by the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood Association.
The councilors of PODEMOS have denounced that the neighbors of the town must coexist with unbearable noises of the WWTP, with nauseating odors and with permanent annoyances caused by the desalobradora, that throw water to the roads of the town and does not have the appropriate security measures.
For the same reasons are unusable the traditional ways that the neighbors had to go directly to Cartagena.
Also, the municipal group warns of the state of the village, located inside the park and (supposedly) protected: abandoned lots, construction waste, weed and invasive species proliferation, removal of palm hearts, permanent fire risks and numerous security problems, as there are abandoned land in the area, where illegal oil refills and even two old concrete mixers are in ruins.
For all these reasons, CTSSP will present an initiative to the next plenary session, so that each and every one of these irregularities can find adequate solutions, with the City Council being the first institution to ensure the well-being of its neighbors and to demand from the competent authorities private owners in their case) that carry out everything that falls outside the municipal scope but which constitutes a legal obligation in sanitary and environmental matters.
