The popular festivals of the Cuatro Santos neighborhood, with which the Council of Festivities of the City Council of Cartagena collaborate, began on August 20, with the election of holiday parties, which will continue until Sunday, September 3, with numerous musical performances, brotherhood meals, solidarity acts and activities for the whole family.
Thus, the celebrations resumed this Friday, August 25, with the parade of the band of horns and drums through the streets of the town accompanying the missions to the Juan José Cano Park.
At around 10 pm, a proclamation of feasts was held by the first lieutenant mayor of Cartagena, José López, and the coronation of the missions.
On Saturday there was a musical performance and dance with the duo Azabache and, at dawn, appetizers for all those who endured.
Already on Sunday, a campaign mass was scheduled with the performance of a choir at the Holy Hospital of Charity at 11.00 p.m., and around 2 p.m. there was brotherhood food.
On Monday the traditional Foam Festival took place, starting at 10:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, the Third Age Day, the Grandmother of the Neighborhood was chosen and a show of Variety Magazine was celebrated with performances by comedians Manolo Doña and El Morta, the Vedette Tania Celaya and the singer Oché Cortes.
On Wednesday, Children's Day, there was costume evening, snack for children, storytelling and attractions at half price.
This Thursday Women's Day was celebrated, with a solidarity act in favor of ASIDO and a solidarity marathon for the Green Mile that began from the premises of the Association of Neighbors and ended at the Fairgrounds in Juan José Cano Park.
Also there was food of coexistence for the neighbors of the neighborhood and users of the association, that counted on the presence of the councilman of Culture, David Martínez.
In this act, dozens of people could enjoy a paella and various snacks, while donating a euro to benefit ASIDO.
After the meal, the parchis championship began.
In addition, during the day, the mayor of Culture participated in a radio program that broadcast live the news of the festivities from the Fairground.
This Friday, September 1, will kick off the last weekend of parties with family raffle and a performance by the orchestra Estrella del Sur and, on Saturday, Man's Day, a Sardine and board games have been scheduled from 13.00 .
In the evening, from 10:00 pm, there will be a dance by the First Line duo.
On Sunday, to close the festivities, will take place a Party Color from 11.00 hours and, in the afternoon, performance of the Mandala dance group, live music by the duo Nerea and fireworks as a holiday weekend .
