Poetry and plastic arts are embraced in the exhibition tribute to the Chilean singer-songwriter Violeta Parra, which the festival La Mar de Músicas has performed in the El Batel Auditorium on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of author of 'Gracias a la Vida'.
An exhibition, 'Back to the 17', which is being one of the most visited in the recent history of the Cartagena center, a fact that has motivated the management of the center to extend its visit ten more days, until September 10, in the Exhibition hall of El Batel.
In the exhibition 'Back to the 17' you can read the poetry of ten women poets: Marina Alcolea, Natalia Carbajosa, Vega Cerezo, Annie Costello, Noelia Illán, Beatriz Miralles, Cristina Morano, Carmen Piqueras, Elena Trinidad and Ana Vidal Egea, Who have written poems inspired by the song 'Back to the seventeen' by Violeta Parra.
Together with these ten women, seven plastic artists: Dora Catarineu, Nicole Palacios, María José Contador, Virginia Bernal, Juana Jorquera, Angela Acedo and Cristina Navarro Poulin, have used painting as their language.
