The Puertos de Santa Bárbara de Abajo celebrate their popular celebrations starting this Friday, August 25, with a program loaded with activities for the whole family and, above all, very gastronomic.
And is that, practically every day of festivities will be tastings of various dishes offered by the Party Commission for all the neighbors and visitors who attend.
The celebrations will begin this Friday with the inauguration of the 12th exhibition of painting and craftsmanship of the Association Los Puertos, as well as dance enlivened by the Trio Jema and tasting coffee with milk and donuts.
On Saturday, August 26, the start of the Futsal Championship organized by Autoescuelas ITER has been scheduled, there will be a large children's costume ball with the performance of the trio Acuarela and tasting of puertilian bread.
Already on Sunday there will be performance of the Spanish Ballet Antares, directed by the dancer and choreographer María del Carmen Baños, and tasting chocolate with scones.
Moreover, on Monday 28, Children's Day, there will be children's games and pet costume contest.
To end the day, inflatables will be installed in the party grounds and mobile-disk.
On Tuesday, Women's Day, there will be tasting of summer red with figurines starting at 13.00 and later, contest of elaborate dishes.
From 9.30 pm begins the night of crumbs, with prizes for a draw of a ham, a loin and a sausage, in addition to the performance of the Duo Gala.
The activities continue on Wednesday with the verbena enlivened by the Duo Nerea and tasting different dishes made with pork.
On Thursday, Third Age Day, a trekking route has been programmed along the Santa Barbara Trail, a performance of the Azabache Duet and great michironada.
The last weekend of parties starts on Friday, September 1 with a night of sevillanas with the performance of the Canela group in branch and tasting of sobrasada.
On Saturday there will be fried egg tasting, after the closure of the football championship, the closing of the various table games and the performance of the Trio Jema.
The festivities will come to an end on Sunday, September 3, in which the patron saint, Santa Barbara, is scheduled to be transferred from her Chapel to the Local Social, where a Holy Mass of Campaign will be held at 6.30 pm The pastor Don Miguel Salcedo Jiménez.
After the liturgical celebration, there will be a pilgrimage to the Hermitage with the image of the patroness, accompanied by the choir rociero Santa Barbara and the band of cornetas and tambores Jóvenes del Mar Menor.
The final party line will arrive at midnight, after the party closing dance by Duet Duetto.
