The Local Government Board, meeting this morning, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the concession of part of the municipal grant with which this year will count the Festivals of Carthaginians and Romans and that will be higher than that of Other years after its declaration as Festival of International Tourist Interest.
According to the mayor explained in a later appearance, the amount approved this morning amounts to 121,500 euros, which is the one contemplated initially in the budgets.
This amount is going to be supplemented soon, but it was wanted that the festeros could have as soon as possible of funds necessary for the organization of activities.
Castejón has also indicated that this year the parties, in addition to having a superior financial aid as promised, will improve and increase their activities with different actions that are being evaluated and will be announced soon.
The mayor has also called for the tranquility of citizens about the coordinated work that is being carried out with the Security Forces and that will also have its reflection during the holidays.
In this sense, a meeting of the Local Security Board has been planned, in which the participants will analyze the various measures that will be implemented.
100 THOUSAND EUROS FOR POPULAR HOLIDAYS
The Local Government Board also approved this morning the subsidies in the amount of 100 thousand euros which will benefit 70 associations of neighbors and commissions of parties for the organization of patron saints and popular festivals in different neighborhoods and councils.
Castejón has reminded that thanks to these aids can be maintained this type of celebrations.
DISMANTLING CHIRINGUITO IN FLAT ISLAND
The mayor has announced the dismantling of the bar of the Lair in Isla Plana, for breaching the conditions of its concession.
The head of the Municipal Legal Adviser, Francisco Pagán, has reported in the Board of the court order of administrative litigation that denied the stoppage of the dismantling of this chiringuito, requested by its winners, and ratified the execution of the municipal decree communicated a few Days to those interested.
The beach bar had been granted for its installation in the beach area, but ignoring the municipal warnings had been installed on the promenade, so it has been ordered un-installed.
TICKET MARKET TENDER
The Local Government Board has also approved the bidding process for the installation of the period market in the Historic Center of the city from November 3 to 5.
It will be an open call in which the participating companies will be able to propose themes related to enlightenment, modernism, the average age or others they deem appropriate.
As a novelty this year will not be able to use animals in its attractions and the bid fee will be 3,000 euros upwards.
VACANTE OF POSITION IN SANTA FLORENTINA
It has also been approved at the Board the dropping of a stall destined to the sale of ecological products in the municipal market of Santa Florentina.
As indicated by the mayor, the intention of the City Council is to re-tender next to other vacancies, with the aim of trying to get the full occupation of the posts.
Other matters addressed by the Board have referred to the adjudication of the canteens of the social premises of Torreciega and Tallante, to the tenderers proposed by the general contracting table of the City Council.
Likewise, three vehicles of the former Municipal Institute of Coastal Services have been removed from the municipal inventory due to obsolescence.
In particular a tourism, a quad and a tractor whose repair was not feasible or excessively expensive.
AGREEMENT WITH THE ASYLUM STORE OF SAN PEDRO
The Local Government Board has also approved an agreement with the San Pedro Shop Asylum Foundation for the development of training in municipal work centers, in relation to the course of Employment and Training Service Dynamization, Programming and Development of Cultural Actions.
With this agreement, as explained by the mayor, it is a question of facilitating training in practices and collaborating in the promotion of job training of 8 students to access employment.
The duration of these practices will be 80 hours.
3 THOUSAND EUROS FOR INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION
Also within the social apparatus has been approved the direct grant of subsidies amounting to three thousand euros for the socio-educational integration of students of different nationalities and cultures, within the program "A school open to other cultures: Intercultural Education"
The beneficiary entities have been Fundación Cepaim.
Integral Action with Migrants;
The Association of the Catholic Commission for Migrations-Delegation and Cartagena (ACCEM);
The Columbares Association;
The Association Rascasa and Murcia Acoge, - delegation of Cartagena.
ASSIGNMENT OF MUNICIPAL LOGOS RIGHTS
Lastly, the Government Board has accepted this morning the free assignment of rights to the designs and redesign of various logos of the City of Cartagena, made by order of various councils by Angel Manuel Tarifa Diaz and their inclusion in the inventory of goods and Municipal rights.
The work done in his private study has been valued at about 10,953 euros.
