Before the criminal attacks in the last hours in the cities of Barcelona and Cambrils, and following the calls made by the Government of the Nation and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the City of Cartagena today will keep a minute of silence, in a Act that will be presided by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and which will take place at 12 o'clock, before the Palace Hall, in sign of repulsion and solidarity with the victims.
Ana Belén Castejón has invited the Municipal Corporation, municipal employees and citizens, who want to express their rejection of any type of violence and attempt to destabilize peaceful, democratic and free citizenship coexistence.
Also in sign of official mourning the official flags of the municipal buildings will wave at half mast between 00:00 hours today, Friday, August 18, until 24:00 hours on Sunday, August 20, 2017.
