The Summer Film program of the Popular University continues to reap success after three weeks of projections in different neighborhoods and county councils.
In particular, there have been thirteen locations selected for this edition and, to date, more than 3,000 people have enjoyed these outdoor cinema sessions.
"This year the number of attendees of previous editions is far exceeding.
In fact, in some projections we have surpassed 200 people and in others it has lacked space.
The best thing is that the people who have accompanied us in these film sessions have done so in a family atmosphere, with their sandwiches and their pipes, "said Councilor for Culture, David Martinez Noguera.
Popular University will close the screening cycle on August 15, projecting 'Now or Never' in the Llano del Beal, but before that there will be another two sessions of cinema in the Strait of San Gines and Santa Lucia.
A Summer of Cinema has covered in these four weeks Santa Ana, the Ports of Santa Bárbara, Galifa, Barrio de la Concepción, La Azohía, Ensanche Amajal, El Llano, Alumbres, Quarries, Molino Derribao and Pozo Estrecho.
The mayor of Culture has very highly valued this year's edition and has made clear his intention to increase the neighborhoods and councils participating for next summer.
One more year, Popular University is committed to bringing the culture of cinema to our neighborhoods and councils during the summer, keeping alive its motto 'The Popular University: a space for all' also during the summer season.
