The Department of Sports, directed by Ricardo Segado (MC), has planned, as it has recently done with door 2-22 of the municipal stadium Cartagonova, continue remembering the figure of those people who defended the colors of Cartagena, born or Not in the city, and that have left an important mark in the hobby.
To this end, an initiative will be presented to the municipal plenary with the aim of creating a working table, where representatives of groups such as the fans and the club will participate, to choose in a consensual way the names of those people who will be honored.
"We believe that it is a matter of justice that in every field, in this case football, we honor those who have contributed in one way or another to the history of what has always been the first team in the city, from the most prosperous times, The ascents and the different stages in Second Division, until the more complicated ones, like the years of Third or of the descensos ", assured the mayor.
Likewise, Ricardo Segado added that "we will continue to propose, through various initiatives, to praise the work people who have dedicated much of their life to Cartagena and who by their own merits have become prominent figures of Cartagena football, such as Pepe Egea, who was player, coach and president of the club in several stages. "
