Environment is carrying out different studies to adopt the necessary measures next to the City council
The Community works in coordination with the City of Cartagena to address the situation of the school 'San Ginés de la Jara' of El Llano del Beal in Cartagena.
The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martinez-Cachá, will meet in the next few days with members of the session, the director of the school and representatives of the center's AMPA "to carry out a joint action."
The minister added that "everything will be coordinated and in collaboration with the educational community" and stressed that "the main objective of the regional government is to ensure the safety of all children and teachers."
Martinez-Cachá stated that "we are coordinated with all the departments and administrations involved and will take the appropriate measures at the beginning of the course, depending on the status or results of each of the reports and analyzes requested."
From the regional government "is working to implement all the necessary mechanisms to ensure a normal development of teaching and teaching activity at the beginning of the course," said the counselor.
In addition, Martinez-Cachá stressed that "the area of ​​action of the Ministry is confined to the school and courtyard, as the owner of the building and the floor is the City, so it is essential to act in a coordinated manner."
For its part, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment adopted a resolution as soon as it knew the situation so that the City Council, head of the school, carried out the corresponding risk analysis and adopted provisional measures such as fencing, measures that the Consistory has already carried out.
In parallel and complementary, another independent study has been contracted and commissioned by the Environment.
Last week the technicians of the company awarded the Environment visited the facilities together with the City Council and proposed, in line with the criteria of the Ministry, complementary measures that the council will adopt.
Among these, it is worth noting the placement of dust nets in the west of the plot and around the soccer field of the educational center;
The correction and diversion of rainstorms to avoid at all times that they enter the interior of the school and prevent the accumulation of trawls coming from the town, as well as from the upstream watershed;
The concreting of the infantile zone and placement of padded floor in the same.
Also on Wednesday will begin by the company the surveys in the school for the physical-chemical characterization of the plot soil and the risk analysis at the site.
