The Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, presented this morning at the Palace Hall, the 10th edition of the Ginés Pagán Memorial, which pays homage to one of the main drivers of football, and sport in general in Cartagena.
An event that will face Cartagena FC, FC Cartagena B and Sport Minera, and will be held on Saturday 12 August at 18:30 hours in the Ciudad Deportiva Gómez Meseguer.
Also present at the press conference were Isidoro García, president of the FC Cartagena Foundation, Nicolás López Cuadrado, vice-president of Cartagena FC, José Pagán, son of the honoree, and Bienvenido Gallego, president of the Mining Sports.
The councilman praised the importance of the figure of Ginés Pagán for football in the city, both in the lower and professional categories.
"There is football in Cartagena, but it would not have been the same without that impulse that Gines gave to this sport" has considered.
