The area of ​​Sustainable Development, directed by the first deputy mayor of the City of Cartagena, José López, has been working during the last months in the placement of new canopies in the municipality, which will end with the installation of a total of 25.

To verify the evolution of these works, Jose López visited this Saturday part of the places where these new elements that are part of the urban furniture and improve the service that lends itself to the users of the bus, promoting a sustainable mobility.

Thus, accompanied by the general coordinator of Sustainable Development, Jesus Giménez, was in the Residential Buenos Aires, Playa Paraiso, Molinos Marfagones, the Barrio de la Concepción and Capitanes Ripoll.

Soon it is also planned the assembly of new canopies in other locations in the municipality, such as Barriada Hispanoamérica, Canteras, Los Barreros and El Albujón.

Months ago another 16 were installed, in Torre Nicolás Pérez, Aparecida, Los Camachos or Los Dolores, among others.

The contract for the installation of canopies of buses was awarded last May 24 by the Bureau of Recruitment, JS Mobiliario urbano y rótulos SL, for 51,435 euros plus VAT.
