The Government Board, which held a special session Friday, approved a collaboration agreement between the City of Cartagena and the Sierra Minerapara Foundation to open and promote the Las Matildes mine, located in the Diputación de El Beal.
"The city of Cartagena will contribute 25,000 euros in this project, with which we will expand and diversify our tourism offer, while putting our Sierra Minera in value," said Mayor Ana Belén Castejón.
On the other hand, the municipality of Cartagena has obtained a subsidy of 266,319 euros for programs to support families and children for 2017 granted by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality in conjunction with the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
Also, another subsidy granted by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, through the Institute Murciano de Acción Social (IMAS) to the Hon.
City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Social Services, to finance comprehensive social care programs for the Gypsy People, under the framework of the Gypsy Development Plan (PDG) corresponding to the year 2017 for an amount of 24,000 euros
