The Black Literary, Police and Mystery Days 'Cartagena Negra' will reach its third edition with various novelties, among which the I Prize of Novel Cartagena Negra or the edition of the Anthology of Reports Black Cartagena.
This year the presence of law enforcement forces, the treatment of evil and the black genre produced along the Mediterranean will be the three main thematic lines around which will turn the festival that has already made a place of renown in the national scene .
The delegate councilor of Culture, David Martinez, and Francisco Marín, representing the promoter group that organizes this event, presented this Friday the third edition of 'Cartagena Negra', to be held from September 5 to 9 in the Auditorium And Palacio de Congresos El Batel mainly.
A total of 30 authors from all points of the national geography, such as Tenerife, Galicia, San Sebastian, Bilbao or Castellón, will visit Cartagena and participate in the many activities scheduled as presentations, writing workshops or round tables, among Others.
There will also be space for music and the world of comics or for the audiovisual in the form of short films.
It will also seek a greater involvement of the public by organizing activities as attractive as possible as a Workshop of Writing Police provided by the writer Clara Peñalver, the Contest of Black Microrrelates live 'Leave here your hat', whose requisite to Being able to participate will consist of attending this complement, which has a prize for the winner of a dinner for two and a hotel night in Los Habaneros - or 'Menudos detectives menudos', designed for the little ones.
The nine meetings of reading clubs, the 'Aperitivos negros' or the inauguration of the festival will also have relevance, which this year will be attended by Esteban Navarro, a national police and front-line writer.
But if something especially stands out in this edition is undoubtedly the First Prize of Novel Cartagena Black, whose first winner has been Rafa Melero with his book 'Ful'.
