Canteras celebrates the next days its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Soledad with a multitude of musical performances, gastronomic tastings, races and sports competitions, children's activities, mass and procession in honor of the patron saint, and evening trovera.
The parties begin this Saturday, July 29, with the performance of the musical group Dúo Aguamarina, and will be extended until Tuesday, August 15.
During the week, different children's activities have been scheduled, a dinner to be held on Wednesday, August 2, and will be held on Women's Day on Thursday 3. On Friday there will be a livened up dance by the Minerva Group and on Saturday, The people in charge of putting music to the night will be the members of Duet Duet.
Already on Sunday, from 13.00, there will be paella tasting and, in the afternoon, a children's ribbons race.
The children will be protagonists on the following days, with the costume contest that will take place on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 snack for children and large playground with attractions and inflatable games.
On Wednesday, August 9th, the traditional migas competition will be held and, on Thursday 10, the Gran Velada Trovera, organized by the Trovera Association José María Marín with the collaboration of the City Council of Cartagena, has been scheduled.
The next day will be the performance of the Azabache Group and, on Saturday, the Third Age Day will be celebrated, with different activities for this group and dance enlivened by the Duo Nakar.
Already in the final stretch of the festivities, on Monday, August 14, the Salve will be sung to the patroness on the eve of her day, at the door of the Church, at midnight.
At 11.00 pm, there will be performance of the Duet New Route.
On Tuesday, August 15, there will be rocket fire and Rosario de la Aurora through the streets of the village, starting at 8.00.
In the afternoon, at 20.00, there will be a solemn mass in the parish and procession in honor of the patron saint of Canteras, the Virgin of the Soledad.
The end of parties will arrive at night, with the performance of the group Dúo Nerea, at 23.00 hours.
