The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, met Thursday with the president of the Association of Hosteleros of Cartagena and Comarca (Hostecar), Juan José López, in order to jointly conduct a review of all the actions that the Government has been doing in this matter from the different areas as well as others that may be interesting to keep moving forward.
During the course of the meeting, the first mayor has heard the needs of this group representing 3,100 companies in the coast of Cartagena, as highlighted by Castejón, and which is constituted as the interlocutory association of the entire hotel sector of Cartagena and Comarca before the municipal government, which this year celebrates 40 years.
"It is very important to continue strengthening these relationships and work together," said the mayor, who has said that it will "be involved, and much, to give it visibility" and offer them the tools and mechanisms for it, since the president of The hoteliers have moved the need for a web page.
Ana Belén Castejón has also advocated that Carega- na's innkeepers be represented in the La Manga Consortium.
On the other hand, as regards the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), the first mayor has opted for greater coordination on training issues.
On the other hand, the mayor said she was "extremely happy" that the Minister of Tourism finally receives the representatives of the innkeepers of the municipality and has taken the opportunity to make a call to the regional government in order not to neglect the associations and representatives of The collective Cartagena.
