The twenty volunteers from nine autonomous communities that are taking part in the 'Cartagena Archaeological' field of work are currently involved in the cleaning of the salted pool of the Roman site of Castillicos, next to the beach of Villas Caravanig.

Thus, participants in this initiative promoted by the Department of Youth of Cartagena within the regional program of Youth have focused their work on the recovery and maintenance of various assets of the municipality.

'Cartagena Archaeological' started last July 17 and will run until next Saturday 29.

Before arriving at the site of the Castillians, the volunteers were performing cleaning tasks in the Roman Amphitheater.

Currently, they are also carrying out an inventory of archaeological material at the Municipal Archaeological Museum.

During the day today, July 26, the municipal coordinator of Historical and Archaeological Heritage, María del Carmen Berrocal, and the archaeologist Luis Miguel Perez Adán have known the work of the participants in this field of work.
