The plenary of the municipal corporation met Tuesday under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, to discuss and approve a series of initiatives, between requests, questions and motions, after the approval of the agenda, among which points The opinions on the transitional planning rules and that of the Research Commission of the Auditorium and Congress Hall El Batel.
And the first has been an institutional statement supported unanimously by the full council, against xenophobia, intolerance and racism, and in defense of freedom, equality and diversity of any kind.
In the section of motions, many of them joint, fourteen of the fifteen motions have been put forward, such as the initiative of the socialist groups and CTSSP, which has had the adhesion of Citizens and the abstention of MC and PP, for the creation Of a National Center of Interpretation of the Marine Reserves of Spain in the Lighthouse of Cabo de Palos, making clear the rejection to the privatization of the lighthouse and the compatibilization of this center with the use as housing of the Faro workers.
This declaration shall be forwarded to the Congress of Deputies and to the Regional Assembly.
Also on the Faro, specifically on its declaration as BIC, has been a motion of the MC group to which have been added the other municipal groups, which have unanimously approved the adhesion of the plenary to said BIC monument status, to In favor of the Cabo de Palos lighthouse and its natural environment, thereby ensuring, on a permanent basis, the provisional protection measures and any others that may be applicable.
On the other hand, the motion of the socialist group, to which MC, Citizens and CTSSP (the popular group has abstained) have joined, in support of the proposed climate change law for the Region of Murcia, As the recognition of the City Council to the deportees of the municipality of Cartagena to the Nazi concentration camps of CTSSP.
The motion of the socialist group, signed by all groups, on school transportation stops at the schools Azorín, Fernando Garrido and IES Juan Sebastián Elcano, was unanimously approved by the plenary session;

REST OF APPROVED MOTIONS

On a government agreement, specifically, that the Plenum of the City of Cartagena urge the Government and Cartagena Yes It Can, to provide the rest of the political groups and all citizens of Cartagena with the agreement signed by the three groups, due to the Importance of this document for the future of Cartagena and its citizens.
This Government agreement must be at least shown on the website of the City of Cartagena so that it can be available to any citizen (by unanimity).
GOVERNMENT QUESTIONS
Along with the presentation of their pleadings, the municipal groups have thrown to the plenary a series of questions that, in turn, have given rise to the announcement of some actions by the municipal government.
Air Quality Table
To the question asked by the spokesperson of CTSSP, Pilar Marcos, on levels of tropospheric ozone in Cartagena and the next convocation of the Air Quality Table, Councilor for Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón, said that said table will meet in September and it will take a series of proposals, such as the elaboration of a municipal ordinance for the protection of the atmosphere with a municipal action plan included or create a website with information on air quality in the municipality.
Cleaning the Greenway

Nursery for Women

Canine Beaches
A hundred people have participated in the campaign of public consultation on the possible location of canine beaches on the coast of Cartagena, a campaign launched last month by the Department of Tourism and today asked the group of the Popular Party.
