The 'Talleres del Mar', organized by the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena and part of the Summer Schools 2017 of the Department of Education, end the second shift on Monday, July 31 and with it ends its second edition.
For this reason, Deputy Councilor for Education, David Martinez, visited the club's facilities on Wednesday to learn firsthand the progress of this activity that began earlier this month.
There she embarked with the participating girls and boys, between 6 and 17 years of age, and shared with the group the experience of approaching nautical with the advice of professionals who teach children and youth, all in the environment Of the Bay of Cartagena.
The activity 'Workshops of the sea', in which students have been able to learn the handling of sails, parts of the boat, gear, winds and knots repeated this summer, after the success of the previous edition.
In addition, the participants have received notions of directions and about the main maneuvers such as tacking, cross-surfing, girdling or the run-down.
