The restaurant of the cartagenera deputation of El Algar Los Churrascos hosts one more year the Gastronomic Days of the Cante of the Mines of La Union, which will include a tribute to the chef Alfonso Ortega, flamenco performances and a special menu prepared for the occasion from 20 to 30 of July.
This was presented by the Councilor for Decentralization and Festivities of Cartagena, Juan Pedro Torralba, who has been accompanied by the Mayor of La Union, Pedro López, and the owner of Los Churrascos, José María Alcaraz.
For the mayor of Decentralization and Celebrations "it is very important that the quality and freshness of the products that our region gives us is known outside our borders", as well as "the professionalism of those who convert our raw materials almost into works of art".
For this, he assured, "Cante de las Minas can be an unbeatable platform."
Thus, it has shown its willingness to support from the City of Cartagena the initiative of these gastronomic days, which celebrate this 2017 its 11th edition.
For his part, the mayor of La Union has emphasized the suitability of José María Alcaraz to launch the Gastronomic Days of Cante de las Minas and stressed the symbiosis between La Unión and Cartagena around the festival.
And is that, as it has affected, the festival is nourished by the hotel and catering of Cartagena, which increases the occupancy of its hotels.
"We must always be hand in hand," said the first mayor of La Union.
The mayor has emphasized the performance of the young violinist Paco Montalvo, who versions the great successes of flamenco with the violin, as well as those of four mining lamps.
Thus, Rocío Márquez, Juan Pinilla, Maite Martín and Antonia Contreras will rise to the stage of Cante de las Minas 2017.
The representative of Los Churrascos highlighted the fusion between flamenco and the restoration.
In this year's edition, he wanted to refer to this menu, which he described as "contemporary" to the Autonomous Community of Asturias, which will be honored in the framework of the festival this year.
Thus, the menu will feature a dish with turbot or Asturian cachopo.
The conference starts on Thursday, July 20.
One of the central acts will be the homage that will take place in charge of the restaurant Los Churrascos and its responsible to the chef Alfonso Ortega, founder of 'The kitchen of Alfonso', that will take place Saturday 29 of July.
