The neighbors and fishermen of the district of Santa Lucía of Cartagena celebrated, once again, the feast of the Virgen del Carmen with a mass and the traditional seafaring procession, attended by the councilman of Interior and Public Safety, Francisco Aznar, and the Councilor for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Obdulia Gómez.
After the solemn mass in honor of the patron saint of sailors, the parish priest of Los Barreros in the church of Santiago Apostle, the neighbors and fishermen walked the image through the streets and avenues of the neighborhood until arriving at the dock that bears the name Of the disciple, where they climbed it to the 'Vela Gallego 2' to initiate, as the tradition dictates, and accompanied by a 30 vessels the sea crossing by the waters of the Port of Cartagena, where also a floral offering was made in honor of the people Who lost their lives at sea.
