The professor of the Higher Technical School of Naval and Oceanic Engineering Jerónimo Esteve Pérez has been awarded by the Association of Naval and Oceanic Engineers of Spain with the NINE 2016 Award for the best professional career for children under 35 years.
Jerónimo Esteve Pérez (Elche, 1985) studied his Naval and Oceanic Engineering and PhD in the UPCT.
As a teacher is attached to the Predapartamental Unit of Naval Technology.
His main teaching tasks are associated with subjects of traffic and maritime transport, both of Degree and Master.
Its main field of research is maritime traffic and, especially, the traffic of cruise ships.
In this field he has developed several scientific publications in magazines of international impact, such as Maritime Policy & Management or Maritime Business Review, and national, such as Naval Engineering.
The work developed focuses, among others, on cruise ports, temporary distribution of cruise traffic and configuration of fleets and cruise lines.
He is also the author of several book chapters and a complete book on the cruise industry.
He has also presented numerous presentations on cruise traffic in national and international congresses.
The award was presented last Friday July 7 in Madrid as part of the celebration of the Virgen del Carmen, patron of the Official College of Naval and Oceanic Engineers of Spain, by the dean of the College, Luis Vilches Collado.
