The delegate councilor of Social Services and Social Mediation, Carmen Martín del Amor, has closed Friday the ninth edition of the Summer Schools for the Elderly.
The Department of Social Services launches this initiative in order to offer the elderly who do not have the opportunity to travel to holiday areas meeting places where to develop activities suited to their demands and needs.
The older ones have enjoyed various activities that have been realized during these two weeks like cinema-forum, talks, taichi, therapeutic dance, manualidades, modeling, kitchen, etc.
In these schools, which began last July 4, 32 elderly people participated, among which are users of Day Care Centers of El Algar and Los Dolores.
