The Intercultural Community Intervention Project, the result of a joint collaboration between the City Council of Cartagena and Fundación Cepaim, and promoted by the Obra Social La Caixa, which promotes and develops community actions in Casco Histórico and Sector Estación, has closed this Thursday its III Open School Of Summer 'ConVive in your Neighborhood: Open for Holidays' and has also presented, at the end of the activity, their 'Healthy Breakfast'.
The event was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the first deputy mayor and mayor of Sustainable Development, José López, the delegate councilor for Social Services and Mediation, which took place at the Colegio Patronato del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Social, Carmen Martín del Amor, and the Director of the Caixa Bank Business Area in Cartagena, Diego García.

The closing party has been developed in a family atmosphere in which the children have delighted the attendants with various performances, dances, songs, rap, animation and sketches.
There has also been time for mothers and for monitors and volunteers who have participated in this year's Open Summer School.
The day ended with a healthy breakfast for everyone.
The Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has dedicated a few words to the participants in which she has chosen to "continue to foster collaboration, solidarity, help and, in summary, this coordinated work" A "cooperative work that in the end contributes to the growth of all", the neighborhoods and the municipality, he has said.

Since July 2014 the Intercultural Community Intervention Project has been promoting community actions in Casco Histórico and Sector Estación, thanks to a joint collaboration between the City Council of Cartagena and Cepaim Foundation and promoted by the La Caixa Social Work.
With the vision of community work, the III Open Summer School is being implemented, in which, among other things, activities to stimulate the neighborhood have been developed, generating spaces for intercultural coexistence and social cohesion in its streets.
As its name indicates, it is a playful and participative school, "open" to families, young people, children and elderly people and also to the totality of the cultural diversity of the neighborhoods of Casco Histórico and Sector Estación.
It is designed so that the more than 50 activities are not carried out only from the logic of closed classrooms, but in collaboration with the organizations working in the neighborhood, activities are carried out that favor social cohesion and community participation, opening them up The neighborhood and other spaces.
These entities are the Agency for Local Development and Employment, Caritas Parroquial of the San Diego Social Center, Health Center Casco Antiguo Health Area II of the Murciano Service, the Board of Trustees Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Regional Museum of Modern Art - MURAM-, Collective Kon Character Fonkie;
The Technicians of the Departments of Education, Social Services and Social Mediation, Sports, Implica2 Program of the Department of Youth, Intercultural Center, Collective la Huertecica, Isidorian Foundation, Marraja Foundation, AA.VV.
