Cartagena needs a more intense and continuous tourist promotion, reason why the Autonomous Community must increase the budget heading destined to this end, since the municipality is one of the most powerful of the Region turísticamente speaking.
This is the conclusion reached by the representatives of the Agrupación de Hoteleros de Cartagena (AgrupHotel);

Specifically, hoteliers have requested that new campaigns to disseminate the benefits of the municipality at regional, national and international level be funded from the € 97 million heading for tourism promotion with which the Autonomous Community has.
"Cartagena is a unique enclave that has a tourist, cultural, patrimonial, historical, gastronomic and coastal offer large enough and varied enough to be considered the largest in the Region," said the mayoress, who has influenced that, "It is necessary to increase the budgetary allocations intended to promote it since the City Council are more limited."
Likewise, the hoteliers, among whom was its president, Eva Gargallo, the mayor and the councilor of Tourism have advanced in the elaboration of a Strategic Local Promotion Plan, which includes a new marketing plan and that can be managed from Cartagena Port Of Cultures.
