Under the title 'Pleasures of Rome', the new theatrical visits in the Barrio de Foro Romano, framed within the summer activities program of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, start this Friday, July 14th.
As the sun goes down, the Forum District will open its doors to seduce visitors into a theater-filled visit full of magic and charm.
On this occasion, from the hand of the wise Lucius Apuleius, who will relate how he reached the shores of ancient Carthago Nova and how the wisdom and mysteries of the goddess Isis brought from the exotic East were introduced into the city.
The visit will include a walk through the baths, accompanied by the best host of the sanctuary, will lead from the Banquets Building to the newly discovered temple of Isis, revealing the secrets of the Mediterranean goddess.
In this activity will be announced the rituals of subterranean crypts related to healing through water, sacrifices and even induced dreams, all a magical process to approach the mage goddess.
In addition, we will be able to participate in a ritual of initiation, in the magnificent Atrium Building, as it was held in that same place thousands of years ago.
"It is a unique activity because of the schedule in which it is celebrated, because of the magical surroundings of the Barrio del Foro Romano and because of the magnificent story told by the actors in charge of theater, the mayor and president of Cartagena Port of Cultures, Ana Belén Castejón, who has assured that, from Puerto de Culturas, "we bet for original and fun activities that are attractive for visitors."
The theatrical visit Pleasures of Rome is a beautiful passage inspired by the novel The Golden Ass which will move to a classic world where travelers, sailors and merchants lived a great adventure crossing the Mare Nostrum, being the protagonists of a process of acculturation currently inherited In our culture.
This activity will be held on 14 and 28 July, in addition to 11, 14 and 25 August, at 21.00 hours, and will have a price of 12 euros for general public and 6 euros for members of the Cartagena Club Puerto de Culturas .
