The first deputy mayor and councilor of the Sustainable Development area, José López, accompanied by several municipal technicians, has moved this morning to Los Dolores to address various issues of interest to the neighborhood.
First, Lopez has delivered to the president of the Los Dolores Neighborhood Board, Antonio Martínez, the project drafted from the area of ​​Sustainable Development to act on the Plaza Angel Valverde de Los Dolores.
A few months ago, in this site already works were done to adapt the square to the needs of pedestrians and provide it with the appropriate accessibility conditions.
This, through access paving and pedestrians from Conesa Calderón Street and Castillo Buen Amor Street.
The work, valued at more than 20,000 euros, saw the repair of broken edges and pavement area, raising the pavement in addition to relocating furniture and replacing new banks.
However, that action required a second phase that will be completed with the project that Lopez has delivered today to the representative of the Neighborhood Board.
Thus, in the next plenary of the aforementioned decision-making body, to be held in September, the content of this initiative will be discussed.
If approved, it will pass to the Contracting area that will tender a contract valued at 80,000 euros.
The estimated period of execution is three months.
THE PROJECT
The project devised from Sustainable Development bifurcates in different objectives.
On the one hand, through the demolition of parterres, through the elimination of existing curbs (Castillo de Santa Bárbara, Castillito del Buen Amor, and Conesa Calderón streets).
In the same way, among other measures, the demolition of the terrazzo floor will be carried out until reaching the road to enlarge the parterres.
Also the collectors at the source will be demolished to leave the necessary rushings that will later house another source in a future action.
Likewise, the land will be conditioned, while improving the children's play area (with new elements), also proposing a design of 'continuous rubber pavement', making a perimeter fencing of the area.
In the field of gardening, the beds will be prepared to house kikuyo grass, which will give the site a nice green tapestry framed in an efficient landscaping.
Finally, a 'bicycle rack' will be installed.
OTHER ACTIONS
The mayor responsible for Sustainable Development has completed his visit knowing the status of various avenues and places to note possible improvement actions that will be implemented due to budget availability.
For example, in the square next to the Day Center or in the Plaza 'Castillo San Julián'.
